Innovative Client that offers a wide range of Insurance and Financial Solutions for many organizations and commercial markets nationwide is looking for a Investment Accountant Analyst for Chicago Based Office. Person will be able to work a hybrid/remote schedule 3 Days a week.
The Investment Accountant Analyst is responsible for posting investment journal entries in Oracle and analyzing investment accounting transactions. This includes reviewing investment activity housed by a third party administrator and performing analytical procedures to ensure that investments are booked in accordance with statutory and GAAP regulations. In addition, the accountant is expected to perform account reconciliations, monthly and quarterly variance analysis and assist with the completion of the NAIC statements and audit reports. The position requires heavily working with pivot tables and formulas in Excel in order to perform reconciliations and analytics.
It is critical that time management skills, a continued sense of urgency, and job knowledge of investments, insurance and Annual Statement reporting are highly developed and consistently demonstrated on a daily basis.
