This role will lead up National Sales efforts for the P&C Insurance Vertical/Channel for this quickly growing Technology Company specifically serving the insurance industry. The position will report to the Head of Sales & Marketing and be the National Channel/Vertical Lead. You will be responsible for developing and then executing strategies to develop new clients and win new business for the P&C Claims service offering. You will be selling directly to Insurance industry leaders in areas like Claims, Legal/Compliance and Operations. The line of business target is Casualty, Auto, and Workers Comp business lines typically carriers. This person will also play a part in shaping the product offering, helping with pricing and will be the SME for the P&C channel.

The Sales Director will facilitate delivery in the account set up stage and manage existing client relationships at the appropriate level thereafter. You will be accountable for achieving an assigned annual revenue quota for new clients by actively developing and managing prospects and building meaningful relationships within the Property Casualty insurance market. You will be the champion for the Claims service offerings externally and internally to keep them fresh and relevant. You will also look to find complimentary products, partnership opportunities and enhancements as we continue to develop new ways to automate and improve the way that claims organizations utilize medical data.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify and develop relationships with new prospects and expand relationships with existing clients
  • Work closely with senior leaders, Sales and Marketing to provide pipeline development
  • Qualify new opportunities and generates new leads
  • Drive the creation and execution of new account plans
  • Effectively demonstrates how your solutions can help clients achieve their goals 
  • Generate sales growth through new account penetration, referrals, etc.
  • Add input on product development and enhancements for Claims services offering
  • Lead client visits and regularly attend industry events, trade shows and conferences
  • Complete Sales forecasting and internal reporting (call reports, weekly work plans, etc.
  • Leverage and manage CRM (SalesForce)
  • Self-motivated with strong internal drive to succeed and help to grow this exciting and fast-paced company

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, business management, marketing or similar
  • 5+ years in solution based consultative sales and account management
  • Experience selling technology solutions to the Insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry procurement and implementation processes
  • Ideal candidates will have experience with P&C (Workers Comp) or Bodily Injury Claims
  • Proven understanding of insurance underwriting and claims processing (especially when medical records are part of the process)
  • Demonstrated ability working effectively with C-level prospects and partners
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Established network of contacts within the Property Casualty insurance industry (insurers, reinsurers, TPAs, vendors)
  • Strong consultative sales process and operations skills (pipeline management, forecasting, budgeting, etc.)
  • Strategic thinker able to create a consultative and solution-minded sales environment.
  • Understanding of medical records, analytics or AI solutions desirable
