Channel Director – Partnerships (Alternative Distribution)

This opening is with a tech savvy and growing Life Insurance company. This exciting new role will report to the VP of Digital Distribution and will be responsible for helping to build and grow this Channel focused on Partnerships. You will be responsible for helping to set the strategy and direction of the Channel, managing the existing partnerships and developing the newly created partnerships coming in through the business development arm. You will have a new premium quota in this role that can come from existing account and new accounts.   

Our client is a Life Insurance company. This company is advanced in terms of technology and has developed one of the best Digital Platforms in the business. This platform is designed to allow other companies the ability to offer Life Insurance products in partnership with our client using the digital platform. We are specifically looking for someone who can bring existing contacts and relationships with companies such as Banks, Mortgage Companies, P&C companies with no life product and Association and Affinity groups like the American Bar Association for example. (alternative distribution compare to traditional BGA/IMO).  

This position will be responsible for the P&L of the Digital Partnership channel and the new premium goals assigned. You will be responsible for upselling, cross selling and expanding existing accounts (new premium generation), account management and relationship building to open and expand distribution through these new channel partners. Experience with Digital Platforms, Software, SaaS or Technology would be a big plus. Ability to engage and work with C-Level decision makers is required.

This is an opportunity to build and shape the direction of the channel, so experience building a new channel would be helpful. An entrepreneurial mindset is a must.

Required Experience/Knowledge
– 5-7+ years of B2B sales or channel sales experience
– Sales experience with Software, Digital Platform or other similar Technology products is a strong preference.
– Knowledge of life insurance products is a plus
– Existing contacts/relationships in Banking, Mortgage, P&C or Lage Association groups is strongly preferred
– Proven ability to pipeline and manage accounts
– Experience with planning and go to market strategy is preferred
– Ability to drive projects is preferred
– Energetic, entrepreneurial attitude, looking for a builder

This position can be remote / work from home, some travel will be required (20-25%)
