Our client is a brand new insurance company that specializes in providing auto insurance for classic and modern collector cars and looking for a claims manager to lead strategic initiatives within our collector car insurance line. As a Senior Claims Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and refining claims processes, driving financial performance, expanding claims expertise, and ensuring superior client service and regulatory compliance. Your role will include significant contributions to business planning, including budgeting, process improvements, and team performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Oversee the implementation and continual enhancement of claims handling processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leadership and Development: Mentor and develop a team of adjusters and managers, enhancing their leadership and technical skills. Engage in performance management, including reviews and compensation adjustments.
  • Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with business partners and maintain open lines of communication with key departments to address claims outcomes and operational challenges.
  • Claims Oversight: Manage high-value and complex claims, ensuring accurate assessments and compliant settlements. Guide your team in managing daily operations and client interactions.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and influence claims-related financial metrics such as cycle time, audit scores, and expense management, ensuring favorable outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; significant relevant experience may substitute.
  • Minimum of 7 years in claims handling, with experience across multiple jurisdictions highly desirable.
  • Strong foundation in insurance principles, underwriting practices, and risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and financial decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Holds a personal lines insurance license; must be bondable.
