Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate with prospects, support staff and clients on a day-to-day basis to service their insurance risk needs.
- Develop sales strategies to achieve targeted goals and enhance long-term relationships with clients.
- Supervise, train, and develop the capabilities of the team in a manner that enhances the profit center’s image and level of service to clients and companies. Evaluate department teammates, in relation to skills, insurance coverage and technology knowledge.
- Assist Personal Lines team with the day-to-day account management of an assigned book of business, including ensuring correct completion of policies/endorsements processing, invoicing, claims reporting and follow up as needed, provide coverage comparisons, loss analysis and responding to coverage questions.
- Develop strategies to accomplish the Personal Lines department’s business plan growth objectives.
- Identify areas of opportunities to cross-sell to existing clients and develop strategies to reach new clients to increase quoting activity.
- Participate in community organizations/events to promote the Agency and prospect for new clients.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and customer service by improving ongoing service delivery methods.
- Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws including addressing complaints and resolving problems in the department.
- Participate in the selection of new Personal Lines support employees.
- Review subordinates’ performances and conduct their annual formal performance appraisals.
- Support full utilization of automation system.
- Stay informed regarding insurance technical knowledge, market trends, Agency automation, Company information and other operating techniques.
- Review and prepare monthly analyses to measure progress in achieving department objectives.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in similar position is required
- Must have active Florida 2-20 license
- Must have complete and thorough understanding of Personal Lines underwriting and coverages in the Florida marketplace
- Must be a self-starter, imaginative and creative with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
