We are working with a reginal insurance carrier that is looking for 2 candidates asap for a 3 month or longer contract position.
Accounting Assistant that have some basic Accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel and working with spreadsheets.
Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:
- Work with Excel spreadsheets
- Data entry
- Basic accounting concepts
- Look up agent account in system billing
- Validate policy numbers, insured names and balances in agent account billing agree with spreadsheet
- Validate total amount posted balances with the amount of disbursement shown on the bank report and make the proper data entry (I.e. batch id)
- Generate a cash application spreadsheet for posting activity in the system
Accounting Assistant Requirements:
- Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, strong typing skills.
- Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with basic Accounting principles.
- Professional manner and strong ethical code.
- Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
- Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
