Accounting Assistant

We are working with a reginal insurance carrier that is looking for 2 candidates asap for a 3 month or longer contract position. 

Accounting Assistant that have some basic Accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel and working with spreadsheets. 

Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Work with Excel spreadsheets
  • Data entry
  • Basic accounting concepts
  • Look up agent account in system billing
  • Validate policy numbers, insured names and balances in agent account billing agree with spreadsheet
  • Validate total amount posted balances with the amount of disbursement shown on the bank report and make the proper data entry (I.e. batch id)
  • Generate a cash application spreadsheet for posting activity in the system

Accounting Assistant Requirements:

  • Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, strong typing skills.
  • Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with basic Accounting principles.
  • Professional manner and strong ethical code.
  • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
