We are excited to be working with a highly rated and growing Life and Annuity carrier to help them find and hire their next VP of Sales and Distribution. This is a Senior Leadership role reporting to the CMO. You will lead and manage all aspects of Sales and Distribution for Individual Life and Annuity. The role will also lead the specific marketing and distribution efforts for Life and Annuity. Our client will look to you to develop overall strategy, execution the business plan, as well as developing and enhancing overall sales capabilities. Strong sales management skills will be required, along with the Industry experience (Individual Life and Annuity). A strong network of relationships with BGA/IMO/NMO partners is expected. Any relationships with Banks and/or Broker Dealers would also be a big plus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Developing and implementing the overall strategy to grow annuity and life sales across the org through 3rd party channels.
* Managing external relationships with producers, vendors, brokers, etc.
* Leading the internal sales desk and company internal wholesalers.
* Design effective sales campaigns and strategies working closely with Marketing.
* Manage and utilize data analytics and technology to make informed decisions. Experience with Salesforce a big plus. EXL, etc also good.  
* Create and lead the overall strategy of the agent, producer experience.
* Implement sales culture
* Manage, motivate and drive other managers.
* Create strong external working relationships with various business partners.
* Ensure the sales team are experts on products and positioning.
* Provide input and advice for product design and pricing.
* Manage the budget for your area.
* Work with Marketing to develop communications for partners and feedback.
* Develop and foster key annuity and life marketing alliances.
* Proven management and leadership experience
* Grow sales!

Required experience includes:
* 10+  years selling and marketing Life Insurance and Annuity products
* Creative problem solver
* Outstanding interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
* Deep understanding of traditional business practices and trends
* Exceptional sales closing skills and the ability to coach and train these skills
* Relationship management skills
* Ability to develop sales presentations, position statements, messages, and other sales collateral
* Proven ability to negotiate successfully and close complex contracts
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Communications or other relevant field
* CLU, ChFC, etc a plus

This is a full-time, permanent role and will be considered part of the Officer team. Our client will be offering outstanding pay, benefits, PTO and a culture you can be proud of.
Remote work from home is available for this role, however, you must be willing to travel in as needed for meetings, conferences, etc. Relocation assistance will be offered for anyone willing to relocate.
