Our client is an A+ rated carrier who is looking to add an Underwriter for their Houston office, who will assess and calculate the risk of loss for policyholders with complex risks. work with our agents in writing and servicing complex accounts within assigned authority levels.
Main responsibilities:
- Write new and renewal workers' compensation insurance policies to meet company written premium goals.
- Evaluate applications, reports, information, and coverage requests and apply departmental and regulatory guidelines to determine risk acceptability.
- Negotiate account pricing and coverage with agents within a designated level of authority.
Candidate should have:
- 2 p[us years' of commercial underwriting experience. Any specific experience in WC would be a huge plus.
Flexible Hybrid working schedule – 1 or 2 times in the office/week.
