AVP Business Transformation & Modernization (Life Insurance)

Growing Life and Long Term Care Insurance carrier needs to hire an experienced Business Transformation professional to help grow the company and oversee business transformation and modernization / innovation efforts. Ideally the candidate will have experience with Life Insurance industry, or LTC or both. Our client also offers a TPA service, any experience with a TPA is a plus but not required.
 
In this role you will work closely with the COO and other Business Unit leaders to design and implement strategic initiatives that improve and enhance the organization's overall capabilities, process, product, customer service, applications/eApps, admin systems and agent experience at the enterprise level. We are looking for someone who can help foster a culture of innovation as well. You will also monitor, evaluate, and report on the impact and outcomes of transformation efforts.

Responsibilities include:
– Work closely with the COO in developing and executing the organization's transformation strategy and road-mapping.
– Collaborate closely with the PMO and Continuous Improvement teams to deliver transformation projects on time, on budget, and on scope.
– Identify opportunities for innovation and optimization across the organization.
– Work closely with the product development team.
– Oversee change management and stakeholder engagement processes to ensure alignment and buy-in from all levels of the organization.
– Maintain close communication channels and feedback loops with internal and external stakeholders.
– Monitor, measure and report progress against KPI’s and impact of the transformation initiatives.
– Research and benchmark best practices and emerging trends.
– Provide training and guidance to staff and managers on transformation and innovation
– Other duties as needed to support the team and organization.   

Qualifications include: 
– Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
– Minimum of 7 years of experience with transformation and/or innovation projects
– Current or recent experience in the Life Insurance or Long Term Care Insurance industry
– Proven record of delivering successful and impactful project outcomes
– Proven experience with Business and IT related transformation efforts
– Experience with implementing new products and sales tools such as eApplications, illustrations, CRM system, agent or client portals, agency management, and new business workflows/journeys.
– Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
– Experience working with agents and other distribution partners.
– Self-starter willing to be part of the development process for new ventures.
– Must be an analytical and strategic, out of the box thinker who is willing and able to be hands-on with teams and projects.
– Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
– Proficient in MS Office and organizational systems
– Experience in an AGILE work environment is highly desired

This is a full-time permanent role offering generous base salary, PTO and annual bonus as well as outstanding corporate medical and retirement benefits. Preference is for on site local, but, for the right candidate this position could be remote (will require frequent travel)
