Top rated Life and Health Insurance company is growing and needs to add an experienced Financial Analyst to their team. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the Life or Health Insurance industry. You will be part of a team handling some of the more complex transactions of the client. This role will also work closely with the team to assist with special project work associated with overall business, and/or technology improvement initiatives. Strong collaboration skills are expected. Experience with SAP is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
– Validations of Premiums
– Processing premium payments
– Financial Reporting, recording monthly statistics
– Prepare accruals, review aging receivables, reconciliations
– Support monthly/quarterly closing process
– Assist with questions on premiums, etc.
– Conduct periodic or spot audits
– Assist with process improvement initiatives
– Customer support when needed (internal or external)
Requirements include:
– Bachelors degree (Accounting, Finance, etc)
– 3-5+ years experience as a Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
– Previous experience in the Life/Health Insurance industry
– Advanced user of Excel (pivot tables, vLookups, formulas)
– Experience with Financial Closes a plus
– Experience with SAP a plus (especially FS-RI, FS-CD or FS-GL)
– experience with PowerBI a plus
– Strong communicator and relationship builder
– Any completed LOMA courses a plus
